I’m chilling at home on a Wednesday and who do I get a call from? My brother for life! Mr. Anthony Burrell. Most of the ladies know him as the front man for Beyonce in her golden era as a solo performer. He’s in all the videos (see screenshots below 😉
But I know Anthony as the incredibly talented, equally lovable guy who’s always busting my balls and never has any time to visit me let alone anyone else in the dance community. Seriously, this guy is NEVER available. Even his DMs are short speak. Anyway, when he calls, I answer. And this time he wanted my help with the BET Awards. The golden boy actually had two or three artists he needed to work with during BET Awards weekend so he called in the one person he knows he can count on — ME.
Little Heiress is as cute as a button and reminded me a lot of my own daughter. Her track with equally cute artist Van Van “Be You” made a big splash on social media this summer so the two little ladies were invited to perform at the BET Awards. I can’t imagine being so young and performing for such a big venue. Heiress will be well on her way to Diva land like her mother and is star like her father. Both TIP and Tiny are also really good people and I’ve met them before in years past on other gigs.
I helped set their choreography and the girls did a great job. Hopefully you think so too!
